This chapter describes the systematics and evolution of Pasteurellaceae with emphasis on new information generated since the 3rd edition of The Prokaryotes which only included chapters dealing with Haemophilus, Actinobacillus, and Pasteurella.in the local university hospitals in Szeged, Hungary (intensive care unit and departments of traumatology, surgery, pediatrics, dermatology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, and head and neck surgery) during 2002–2015. We included patients in this study if they had microbiological investigation with positive results for Pasteurella spp.
